The short version of my review is that Megan and her team were responsive, confident, knowledgeable, organized and well versed in the loan process and everything that is needed to get the job done in a timely manner. Megan was also able to answer any and all questions that my husband and I had for them, with willingness and honesty. She never overpromised. She delivered on every single promise she made. Without a doubt, Megan has our business for any future mortgage transactions.The long version is: my husband and I just closed escrow yesterday on our new home. We had filed our loan with a different lender. The experience that we had with the original lender was night and day to what we experienced with Megan. The original lender created a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety throughout the process, and in the end we realized that we had delay after delay due him not being knowledgeable about how to handle our loan. He made mistakes that cost us a lot of time. We had a 45-day escrow, and at day 43, we still did not have a full loan approval. We almost lost our house. The seller wanted to back out. Because the original lender had “brokered” the loan out to another bank, he had no communication or control of our file once he sent it out. So we went back and forth on loan approval conditions for weeks. At day 41, my husband and I were no longer able to sit around and wait for answers, which is what we had been doing at that point for about a month. We decided to re-file our loan with Megan, and she was able to get us a full loan approval AND close escrow within 2 weeks of having our file. It was nothing short of a miracle. Megan has an absolutely incredible team, and they work through the whole process from beginning to end, hand in hand. Now, for those who understand the mortgage loan process, you know that this is incredibly important and rare for this industry. Megan’s Transaction Coordinator Lacey makes sure that all of the paperwork is flawless for submission. This makes a world of difference in the loan industry. Going back and forth once the file is submitted to underwriting because of mistakes is a nightmare, which is what happened to us the first time. Megan also has direct communication with the underwriters and the rest of the team “behind the scenes” at RPM Mortgage which gives her the ability to hand hold the file all the way through. This was priceless in our circumstance since we had so little time. Closing a loan in 2 weeks in this day and age “post crash” is pretty much doing the impossible, especially for a loan the size of ours at 1.75M. Had we gone with Megan from the beginning, I have no doubt that the whole process would have gone completely smoothly from beginning to end. Without hesitation I would absolutely recommend Megan and her team for any mortgage needs.
